The iphone brand recently made it public at one of its events that it’s most feature-full model is iphone 14 Pro. Company redesigned notch area known as Dynamic Island, Always- on display to a newly installed 48 megapixel wide angle camera, this model now feels much like a all in one high end Smartphone in its market. Apple, who is a major player in marketing, is doing everything it can in its capacity to hype the features as groundbreaking.

However, the number of characteristics that the iPhone 14 claims to have is already there in many android phones for the last couple of years. Apple is able to modify features in unique ways that are in Google powered Android phones to meet its own benchmarks and boost usability of apple phone devices.

Six of such features that Apple introduced in its 14 Pro devices recently.

1. Always-on display

The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models soon to include an always-on display, providing information including time and widgets without waking up the device.  However Apple is making a big deal about the always-on display on its latest premium model, this feature first appeared in Android Samsung galaxy S7 around 2016. In fact, the same feature was there in Nokia 6303 since 2008. Now it’s clear that the much talked Always-on display feature has been in the market for some time already.

Major brands in the Android Smartphone market such as Xiaomi and OnePlus have been offering an always-on display function in their devices for some time now. However, Apple as expected released the same function with many modification and improvements which is definitely lot better than what is already there in market.

One good thing to know is that apple will continue to show Lock screen wallpaper  by making the screen little bit dim than before but will never shuts it off. The function is enabled by a new 1Hz refresh rate along with several power efficient technologies to preserve battery life. Impact of Always-on screen function is minimized smartly by Apple in order to keep the battery last for Long.

2. Dynamic Island

One of the much talked about iPhone 14 Pro models is Dynamic Island. It’s redesigned and made movable notch at the top of the phone which shows information like songs that are running or notification that shows other devices connected with the phone. This Smartphone used to have pill shaped display cuts, now changed a lot. At the same time brands in the Android segment couldn’t do much to make the top screen more interactive with applications and notifications. With the exception of the LG V20, which had a subsequent screen on top of the screen that showed the time, date, and notices.

The LG V20’s subsequent screen was valuable, yet it never felt like it was a piece of the UI. Dynamic Island is generally a product fix for an issue with equipment. It’s like saying, “Your Cell phone actually has a notch,” yet now that pill-formed Pattern changes size as you utilize the telephone as though it were important for the UI.

3. Crash Detection

At Apple’s recent event, one of the key points was to figure out in detail how, in the event of an emergency to the user, can this device help send SOS signals to life support. Apple has always been serious about SOS communication and the latest models of iPhone 14 have built-in emergency satellite connectivity along with vehicle crash detection feature, irrespective of the screen size and age group a user belongs to.

Few of the people know about what brand brought vehicle crash feature fist. It’s none other than Google who introduced this attribute in its Pixel phones a couple of years back. Just like Google, Apple has its own feature called Motion sensor and is able to detect if a user is in an emergency situation. Google however couldn’t do much to spread out the words about its vehicle detection feature, which is there in the Safety app in each of its Pixel devices since the Pixel 3 released in market. Apple is much more active in its brand marketing and presented this feature to make it look like an essential one.

3. Selfie Autofocus

Best of the upgrades in iPhone 14 Pro are not but limited to a 48 megapixel camera, Selfie camera now comes with Autofocus that is being highly appreciated by shooting lovers. Samsung mid range and premium cellophones had this auto focus camera feature for a good time already which shows that Android is the first one to bring in this function in mobile phones. For example, Galaxy S22 has a frontal camera that auto focuses on itself.

Around 2018, Google installed this feature in its mobile devices such as Pixel 3XL, but took it off in its latest phones for some reason. Mid range brands like OnePlus and Xiaomi however overlooked this feature. None of their devices have this type of an automatic focus camera.

4. Mode of Action

All of the iPhone 14 variants adopted a feature known as Action Mode. This function lets users record video uninterrupted. It detects shakes automatically and adjusts to it along with vibrations and motion without the need of gimbals. Again, Apple isn’t the first one bringing this feature to Smartphone. Samsung Galaxy has had a super steady video-taking function for a while in its mobile devices and is constantly being improved on.

Samsung had it sorted out and now uses both optical and digital stabilization to make video recording smooth. Users can record videos hassle free while walking which is quite impressive. At around 2020 Vivo had a new camera system with mechanical gimbals for its main 48 megapixel real camera. The Zenfone 9 from Asus just got a new camera system with a gimbals and six axis stabilization.

5. A 4nm Processor

The organization says that the power and proficiency of the A16 chip came about because of the 4nm interaction used to make it. In any case, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, found in the System S22 series and some other Android leads delivered in 2022, as of now utilizes this cycle.

Besides, Qualcomm previously delivered a refreshed variant of this top-level chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+, and an upper mid-range form called the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 in May 2022 — both utilizing a similar 4nm cycle.

And keeping in mind that Apple can make guarantees that the iPhone 14 Ace Max is the quickest ever cell phone, we need to affirm that through testing once we get our hands on genuine retail units. It’s nowhere certified that Apple’s claim is 100 percent true.
